Hats

Tyler's Love of Food is comparable to his love for Hats. Everything is a hat. A couple of weeks ago we were out in the kiddie pool and Tyler was pulling up the grass and throwing it in the pool. He then proceeds to place a blade of grass on his head and claims that he has a Tat (Tyler speak for Hat) on his head. The blade of grass stayed on his head for a while.

In the Bafutub (Bathtub) he likes to put a red lid from an icing container on his head as well. He looks like he has a red french beret on his head.

He has recently started using his food for hats. The other day he placed a sweet potato on his head and claimed that it was a Tat.

Food on the Brain?

Tyler is constantly pretending to whip up something good to eat. He will generally mix up some air or water in the container of his choice (such as a bucket full of water, tin cup, empty wipes box, or a pot). He will then dip out the prepared food with a diving stick or spoon, and proceed to feed himself with his gums and mouth just smacking away. He then proceeds to serve the delectable dish to Jamison and I. He definitely gets his passion for food honestly.

Tyler Prays

OK, so I left my computer at work today so I know my mom will be happy that I am finally updating the blog.

Today Tyler was singing into the microphone. In "Tyler Speak" he was singing Jesus Loves Me. We then thought we would ask him to pray into the microphone. He immediately dropped the microphone, folded his hands, bowed his head, and began praying. This is one of our list of things to try and get on video.

While we are on the topic of praying, I was sitting Tyler in his chair this evening and he had folded his hands to pray even before I got him down in his seat. I hope that he will be that fervent when he is older. There have been many instances where Tyler puts us in our place and reminds us that we need to pray.
