I just couldn't resist taking these pictures. He was looking so cute in his little turtle pajamas which are not practical since they do not have snaps, but I decided to chance it this time since he generally doesn't need a diaper change in the middle of the night. During all this he decided to practice flipping over, and I just so happened to catch one of his half rolls on film.

Tyler is sporting his new slippers and stuffed dog
that grandma and granddad brought him.

Diaper Explosions

Tyler has one explosion a day. He soils at least one outfit a day. In a previous post I mentioned that Jamison has dubbed it as a "Mt. Saint Poopie". Well, yesterday was particulary bad. It ran up his back and out the sides. I just had to take a picture to show him later in life how much we really love him when he becomes a teenager and starts ranting like a teenager.

I used to make the same face when I was little.
My parents call it a snoot.

The Grandparents Visit

The Grandparents (Grandma and Granddad Freeland) have visited us twice in the past month which we absolutely love when they visit. We also were able to see Aunt Erin and Uncle Asbed on the 15th for Erin's birthday.

Erin is currently 15 Weeks pregnant and looking really cute. She has just a little belly.

I have a sneaking suspicion that everyone really came to spoil Tyler and See Erin, but that is to be expected.

It just so happens that while the grandparents were here we had some good pictures taken of Tyler with his grandparents and with him sporting his fauxhawk in the bath tub.

Sleeping

Yeah!!! Tyler has been sleeping better. We are now getting up around 5:00 and 6:00. He still has an occasional relapse, but I will take it as long as we have more good nights than bad.

His dad on the other hand is not getting as much sleep as I am. He is a lighter sleeper than I am, and unfortunately Tyler is a noisy sleeper. Jamison also does not have the incredible sleeping abilities that I have been blessed with.

I can wake up, check on Tyler, and be back in a deep sleep w/in two minutes. It takes Jamison a bit longer to fall back to sleep.

Rolling Over

Last week Jamison and I were woke up by shrills of laughter coming from down the hall. It turned out to be Tyler. I guess he was proud that he rolled over by himself.

I guess that is all the noise that we hear in his room at night when he is supposed to be sleeping. He has been practicing rolling over. He has only done it three times, and he hasn't been consistent yet

Not A Happy Baby

This post is for all those who cannot imagine this sweet little angel angry and upset.

We generally go through an I'm tired or I'm Hungry routine. Tyler is never subtle about anything. He knows what he wants and he generally wants it right at that moment.

The Many Faces of Tyler

Tyler began Smiling at about 4 weeks with the exception of those dreaming smiles that he has been doing from birth. Jamison and I have determined he is dreaming about milk when he smiles in his sleep. We have also determined that when he wakes up in a terror we have decided that he is reliving his birth. Here are pictures from 5 weeks when he really started hamming it up and showing us his many different facial expressions! I love his raised eybrow!

Dreaming of Fans

Tyler Loves to stare at the fans in the house so his dad made a little movie about Tyler's Obsession.

Milestones

Tyler had his two month checkup this week! He is now 23 inches long and 11 pounds and 4 ounces. The doctor says that he is in the 50 percentile for weight and height. He has grown so much that we had to raise his car seat straps.

We have also started to attend evening worship on a regular basis. This one is a little hard since this generally cuts into Tyler's nap time, but we will all get used to it eventually.

He is also now sleeping till 3 or 3:30 when the wind is blowing right. This week the wind blew in the right direction 6 nights in a row until last night. I guess he is bound to have one bad night every once in a while. He woke up at 2:00 this morning and stayed awake until 5:00! I kept thinking, thank goodness it is the weekend and Jamison can take care of the 6:30 feeding. As planned his dad did take care of that 6:30 feeding so that I could get a few more hours sleep. Jamison is a wonderful husband and daddy!
